Many people think that the Law of Attraction originated from the famous Law of Attraction Movie known as the “The Secret”, but that is a very bold assumption to be making. The reason why most people think that the Law of Attraction originated from “The Secret” is mainly because they had never heard of this Law before until “The Secret” became ‘mainstream’.
The fact is, origins of the Law of Attraction can actually be traced back to as far as back in the 1920s to a person going by the name of Charles F. Haanel.
His greatest and most groundbreaking work during his time was the famous “Master Key System” which can be found for free online at a lot of places today thanks to his generosity in making the publication legal for public usage. Although Charles did not mention anything in his book regarding specifically to the Law of Attraction, it can easily be seen that his teachings are very similar and related to what we call the Law of Attraction today.
There has been a lot of controversies and trouble surrounding this well-known publication today, and that it was criticized by many religious institutes during that period of time. Charles was also rumored to have been stopped by the government to distribute his works, but no one really knows whether it is true today for all of these rumors seem to be unfounded.
The reason why Charles and his famous publication the Master Key System has been said to be the origin of the Law of Attraction, is that many people who have been successful in life has often referred back to the Master Key System that has helped them to achieve their dreams and goals in life. One such example would be the famous past Napoleon Hill who once mentioned Charles in a letter:
“I believe in giving credit where it is due, therefore I believe I ought to inform you that my present success and the success which has followed my work as President of the Napoleon Hill Institute is due largely to the principles laid down in The Master-Key System.”
To make things clear, the teachings of the Law of Attraction can actually be traced back to as far as the 1920s, but the term was actually coined in recent years.
